Posted Date: 10/15/24 (10:02 AM)

Stephen Kelley works at Hampshire Unit School in Maury County, serving as Career Exploration and Construction Teacher, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, 504 Coordinator, and S-team Coordinator. He holds a bachelor's degree in Bible with a minor in psychology and has been involved in youth ministry since 2002.

Stephen's ministry experience has honed his ability to recognize and address the needs of those around him. His gift for connecting with young people has enabled him to guide them through both good and challenging times. These experiences inform his approach to helping students develop and implement future goals, skills that will transfer to his role as a school counselor.

Stephen chose school counseling out of love for his hometown and a desire to provide consistency in this position at his school. He aims to offer students more opportunities, improve their overall experience, and provide stability. His decision was also influenced by his observations of students struggling with personal issues or uncertain about their post-high school direction. Stephen is committed to helping students succeed academically, develop social-emotional skills, and prepare for life after graduation.

Outside of work and graduate studies, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family and church community.
